I finally jumped ship from blogger to self-hosted WordPress. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. I just couldn’t commit. It looked too hard. I didn’t want to lose any of my posts or comments and I didn’t have time to fiddle around with it.
Well today I did it. Well, really, Michelle from Little Hero Hosting did it. I gave her a little bit of money (thanks hubby), my username and password and a, “happy Easter” and in a matter of hours she was done. Here is the result. She moved my posts, my pages, my comments and my internal links, while I had lunch, watched William learn to crawl, had an ice-cream, had a water fight with Alexis, and put on a load of washing.
Michelle would have happily designed the site for me too for just a little bit of a fee, but because I actually like doing that stuff I’m going to dabble with it over the next few weeks. I just don’t want to take my eyes off this beautiful son of mine for too long at this moment. That and I’m supposed to be getting him to sleep so I can mop the floor while Corey and Alexis are at the shops. Hmmm..
William is crawling across the bed. I’d better go. I just had to let you know this:
Over the Easter long weekend Little Hero Hosting is having a MASSIVE SALE. I mean massive. There’s discounts on domain names, 50% of hosting packages and 50% off blogger to self-hosted wordpress migration packages. The prices are reasonable even at full price but at 50% off, what are you waiting for? If you have been thinking about it for a long time like I have then seriously do yourself a favour and get Michelle to take care of it for you. You’d be supporting an Aussie small business owner and a mum of five (and a very nice lady) and you’d also save yourself a lot of time. For pricing and sale information check out the Little Hero Hosting Blog.
