My journal of trial and error and the occasional surprise discovery

About me and my team

Me
I’m Karlee. I love to write and to sing, although until relatively recently I kept my creative side to myself. These days my hubby and my kids get to hear me sing, and you are unlucky enough to delve into my brain through my writing. I have this blog (the mother experiment), which journals my days learning to be a mum and wife. To see my first post explaining why I decided to start a blog click here.

My hobbies include, um, I’m a stay at home mum who’s terrible at cleaning so I’m not real sure about my hobbies anymore except keeping up with this blog, although I love to play music (french horn, cornet, piano) when I get a chance and spend time relaxing with my little family. I really enjoy painting but I don’t start unless I have a few hours uninterupted because I get lost in it and dragging myself back to reality can be difficult.

Hubby
Hubby’s name is Corey. He is tall, has dark hair, his eyes tend to change colour like a mood ring and he’s handsome (ofcourse I have to say that). His hobbies include playing computer games, eating chocolate, tickling Alexis and spoiling me. We met in highschool, started dating at 16, engaged by 19, married at 21, and had our baby girl at 22. He is a great drummer but needs to make more time for it. He is far too good for me, most of the time, although I could never tell him that. ;)

Alexis
My daughter Alexis is nearly 2 years old and is blonde with dark eyes and is absolutely adorable. Her hobbies include making a mess by pulling things out of where they should be, making a mess with food and drink and making a mess by trying to help me with the housework. Other hobbies include reading stories, watching the wiggles, playschool and/or sesame street, playing playdoh, running around outside, and playing chasey. Her favourite thing to do is to hold her baby brother. She is very compassionate, kind, loving and a very good kisser. She is starting to learn to “sing” and dances around in circles.

William
William is almost 4 months old. He is amazing. He loves company but also loves his space. When we put him on the floor he can shimmy across the floor on his back by digging his heels in, lifting his bottom up and “ping”ing himself along. He adores his sister. He loves his daddy. He snuggles in tight. He’s a boob fiend and a rather large bub but we love him to bits just the way he is.

God
As I am a Christian I would like to say that I live my life trying to be more like Jesus Christ and so God directs our days. Unfortunately this isn’t always the case as I have a terrible habit of trying to control my own life (and often those around me) even though I know that God could do a better job. I am trying to learn though, so bear with me.

    Hello there Karlee,

Let me introduce you to the founder of Stuck on You, Carrie Felton (www.stuckonyou.com.au). Carrie is a mum of three boys who started a small label company in the backyard of her home. In order to help her business grow she invited 20 of her women friends to her home for lunch and gave free personalised labels to each of them in exchange for the addresses of ten of their friends.

That’s all it took – the power of mums and their ability to chat about and share a quality product that they use and value. Now, over 16 years later Stuck on You delivers quality personalised labels and gifts around the world!

At Stuck on You we still believe in the importance of providing a quality product to Mums and kids, quite simply, if they like it, use it and it is made to last, we know they will share it with their friends.

We are reaching out to our favourite Mumbloggers in Australia. We would love to send you a Stuck on You product to use with your family and provide a review on your blog to share with your followers.

We think it’s better for Mums to choose their own products, that way you get to order something that you actually need and it’s also fun to get the kids involved – they love choosing their colours and designs and adding their own name, and that way you get the complete Stuck on You online experience.

A few of us in the office really enjoy reading The Mother Experiment and think you would be a great fit for us at Stuck on You. If you’ve had a peek at our site and think that some of our products might work well with you and your family, I’d love to hear from you.

I look forward to working with you.

    Warm regards
    Jenna

Karlee, I just want to thank you so much for helping me get the Personalised Christmas book for my grand-daughter, Annaliese which you promoted. She absolutely loves it and her Mum says she doesn’t put it down!
Further to that, Jenna from Stuck On You ( http://www.stuckonyou.com.au ) has also sent me the personalised cushion for free! Annaliese will love this and I just cannot thank you both enough for all the trouble you went to!
