Hi loyal readers and new discoverers of this blog.
Much has changed since my last post. That’s not surprising considering how long its been since then.
My little darlings are older, I’m older, it’s a little colder. These days my challenges include getting kids to school in time, getting myself and the toddler (3) to school in time to pick them up, and keeping up with the appetite of a rambunctious 5 year old boy.
The kids are on holidays for the moment and I’m loving it. To be honest I’ve hardly seen them. They amuse themselves these days. I hear them, oh boy do I hear them (Miss 7 does not stop talking, ever) but I don’t have to sit there holding them all day every day. So to parents of babies, take heart, it does get easier. Well, it gets different. I’m basically a referee now. I actually busy myself with something to force them to play without me because it is then that their true creativity and problem solving skills begin to flourish. They know where to find me when they need me.
Some things haven’t changed. I’m still a Norwex independent sales consultant and I’m still home full time with my youngest. I do like being home with her. She’s cool. She’s cheeky, but she’s cool. I also volunteer in the year 2 classroom frequently, where I’ve met some adorable little monkeys. I’m not entirely sure how much help I am considering the ‘big kids’ just fight over who gets to have my toddler sit with them. They LOVE her, and she doesn’t mind a bit.
It’s just a bit of an intro post at the moment to let you know I’m still here. For my regulars who’ve missed me, what’s new with you?
